A lease structure in which the tenant is responsible for contractual rental income plus a pro-rata share of operating expenses, such as a portion of real estate taxes, repairs and maintenance, property insurance, and utilities. A landlord’s rent is “net” of these expense items. Also referred to as a Triple-Net lease.
