Disable All Linked Data Types Globally (Advanced – Applies to All Workbooks)
This method disables the automatic refresh of linked data types in Excel, including those provided by the LightBox add-in.
Open Excel and go to the File tab.
Click Options.
In the Excel Options window, choose Trust Center (bottom of the left pane).
Click the Trust Center Settings… button.
In the Trust Center dialog, select External Content.
Under Linked Data Types, select:
“Disable all Linked Data Types”
Click OK to close each dialog box.
Close all open Excel workbooks and restart the Excel application.
