Once the add-in has been downloaded by your administrator, a LightBox ribbon will be available in Excel. If you have not already signed up for a LightBox OKTA account, refer to this article.

Click the Login icon to access the Create JSON utility. The OKTA account provisions Vendors/Appraisers with access to the JSON Creator utility. For other helpful utilities, please contact sales@lightboxre.com.

LightBox Valuation Data Capture Template

The LightBox Excel template is set up to capture all pertinent fields for the LightBox Valuation standard data set. These fields are required by your Lender client to create review memos and other helpful metrics for their business.

Copy the Worksheets to Your Appraisal Excel Template

Follow the steps below to import the LightBox Valuation data capture worksheet to your template.

Once downloaded, open the template file on your computer. Once it opens, you may need to click Enable Editing at the top of the screen.

Open your appraisal Excel template.

In the LightBox template file, select the LightBox Valuation Data Capture worksheet. Right click on the worksheet tab and click Move or Copy.    

Select your appraisal template Excel workbook as the target file, select where you would like to copy the worksheets, and check the Create a Copy box.  We strongly suggest completing linking in a template file so that you may re-use again and again.

Repeat the steps above with the Lookups worksheet: select it, right-click on it, then click Move or Copy and determine where you want it to appear in the destination workbook.

The worksheets will appear in the designated locations within the workbook.

Link the property appraisal data reference points within your workbook to the appropriate cells in the Data Capture worksheet. The template is pre-populated with dropdowns and formulas and these should not be changed. Do not add any rows or columns.

When the appraisal report has been finalized and ready for upload to your LightBox Lender client's portal, click the Create JSON button in the LightBox ribbon.

Click the download button. 

This will create and download a standalone JSON file that can be used to import the data points into the RIMSCentral/PARCEL data capture  screens. For instructions about uploading to PARCEL, please refer to Import JSON File to PARCEL's Data Capture. 

Import the data to your client's platform along with your appraisal report and any other requested files.
