    Article summary

If you've already submitted a bid for a Portfolio RFP but need to cancel it—for any reason—you can retract your bid directly from the PARCEL dashboard. This removes your bid from lender consideration and allows you to optionally resubmit a revised response later, if the bid deadline has not yet passed.

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. Navigate to the Submitted Tab
From the PARCEL dashboard, click the Submitted tab.

      • This tab shows all portfolio bids that have already been submitted but have not yet been awarded.

      • Use the column filters to search by project name, request ID, or property address.

    2. Click the Down Arrow Next to Update Bid
For the RFP you want to retract, click the small down arrow beside the Update Bid button.

      • This reveals a secondary option labeled Retract My Bid.

    3. Select Retract My Bid
Click Retract My Bid from the dropdown menu.

      • This will open the submitted bid form for review and confirmation.

    4. Modify or Confirm the Retraction
Inside the bid form, you have two options:

      • Modify Response if you'd like to make changes before retracting.

      • Or scroll down and click Retract Bid to cancel your bid submission entirely.

    5. Click Retract Bid
Confirm your intent by clicking the Retract Bid button at the bottom of the screen.

      • The lender will receive a notification that your bid has been officially withdrawn.

      • The RFP will no longer appear in your Submitted tab and may return to New Requests if it's still open.

Important: Retracting a bid does not automatically allow resubmission. If the bid deadline has passed, you may not be able to submit a new response.

    Best Practices

    • Only retract a bid if you are certain you need to cancel or replace your original submission.

    • If the retraction is due to project confusion or updated scope, consider using the Email Lender feature to explain the situation.

    • Keep track of bid deadlines—retractions made after the deadline may not allow time for a new bid to be submitted.
