    Overview

The Appraisal Licenses section within your PARCEL profile allows you to upload, validate, and manage your licensing credentials. Keeping this section accurate and complete is essential, as lenders require up-to-date license documentation before awarding appraisal assignments.

    Accessing the License Management Area

To access the Appraisal Licenses tab, follow these two steps:

    1. Navigate to your User Profile by selecting your username at the top right of the screen.

    2. Click the Appraisal Licenses tab.

    Managing State Licenses

In this section, you can view, add, edit, validate, and upload state licenses.

Each license entry includes the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    License State

The U.S. state where the license was issued.

    License Number

Your official license number issued by the state.

    License Last Name

Your surname as it appears on the license.

    Expiration Date

The expiration date of the license. Keeping this up to date is crucial for compliance.

    License Type

The classification of the license (e.g., Certified Residential).

    ASC Status

Status retrieved from the Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC.gov) validation system. It will indicate whether your license is Active or Inactive.

    Appraisal License

Provides a link to view the uploaded license document. If no file is uploaded, it will say “(not uploaded)”.

    Validate

Clicking this sends a request to validate the license information with ASC.gov and auto-updates the expiration date if successful.

To add a new state license:

    1. Click the ADD State License button.

    2. Use the dropdown to select a state.

    3. Enter your license number and last name as it appears on the license.

    4. Click Upload License to attach a digital copy of your license (PDF format recommended).

    5. Click the checkmark button to save or the X button to cancel.

After the license is saved, click Validate to sync with ASC.gov and ensure the license is recognized and current. If the validation fails, double-check for typos in the license number or last name fields.

You can edit or delete a license entry at any time using the pencil or trash can icons respectively.

    Managing International Licenses & Memberships

If you hold appraisal credentials outside of the U.S., you can list them in the International Licenses & Membership section.

    Each entry includes the following:

    Description

    Location

The country where the license or membership is held.

    Organization Name

    The accrediting or licensing organization.

    License/Member Number

The unique identifier or membership number.

    Expiration Date

The date when the license or membership expires.

    License/Membership File

Link to uploaded license or membership documentation. If missing, it will show “(not uploaded)”.

To add a new international license:

    1. Click the ADD International License/Membership button.

    2. Select a country from the dropdown.

    3. Enter all relevant fields including organization name, license/member number, and expiration date.

    4. Click Upload License to attach documentation.

    5. Click the checkmark to confirm or X to cancel.

    Tips for Maintaining Compliance

    • Ensure that every license listed has a matching uploaded file and accurate expiration date.

    • Check back periodically to validate that nothing has expired or changed.

    • If licensed in multiple states, repeat the process for each location to maximize assignment visibility.
