Overview
Once you have reviewed the awarded bid details and any accompanying documentation (such as the Engagement Letter or Scope of Work), you must formally accept the RFP within PARCEL to begin the assignment. Accepting the RFP confirms your agreement to all terms and allows the project to move forward into the execution phase.
When to Accept an RFP
You should only accept an RFP when:
You have fully reviewed the Scope of Work and Engagement Letter.
You agree with the awarded fee, due date, and terms.
You are prepared to begin work on the assignment and meet the specified deadlines.
Steps to Accept the RFP
Log into the PARCEL platform and navigate to the Direct Awards and Bids section.
Click the Awaiting Acceptance tab to view all bids awaiting your response.
Locate the awarded RFP you wish to accept and click the Accept button.
On the project details page, confirm the awarded amount and deadline.
Review the Engagement Letter by clicking View Engagement Letter (PDF), if provided.
Once all information is reviewed, click the Accept RFP button.
Handling Engagement Letter Signature Requirements
Depending on the lender’s requirements, the system may prompt you to upload or select a digital signature:
If a signature is already uploaded in your profile, it will appear automatically in the acceptance modal.
If no signature is on file, you will be required to upload one before proceeding.
You can manage your digital signature in the Personal Info tab of your User Profile.
No Signature Required
If the engagement letter does not require a signature, a notice will appear stating: “No signature required from Lender, proceed with Award Acceptance.” In this case, you may proceed directly with accepting the RFP.
Accept Terms and Award
To finalize acceptance:
Click Accept Terms & Award to confirm acceptance of the engagement letter and assignment.
You will receive a confirmation, and the project will now appear in the All Projects tab of your dashboard.
Rejecting an RFP
If you cannot accept the project due to misalignment in scope, timing, or other concerns:
Click Reject RFP to decline the assignment.
Alternatively, click Reject Terms if you disagree with the engagement letter terms.
The lender will be notified, and the opportunity will be reassigned or closed out.
After Acceptance
Once accepted, you will be able to:
Access the full project details from the All Projects tab
Upload deliverables (e.g., final report, supporting documentation)
Set inspection and delivery dates
Communicate with the lender using the internal message tool
Best Practices
Always review all documentation before accepting the RFP.
Confirm that the awarded fee and delivery date match your submitted bid.
Keep a copy of the engagement letter for your records.
If you experience issues during acceptance, contact PARCEL support or message the lender directly within the platform.
