Article Summary

The LightBox national parcel boundary dataset includes the parcel boundary, property and tax attributes, owner names, land use and zoning will be the key to make more confident decisions. The LightBox parcel boundary dataset covers 3,100+ U.S. counties and townships including territories, with over 150 million parcels with polygon geometry that is completely normalized, and ready to use.

Location Matters

Weather you are a hyperlocal marking team, a state, mapping broadband connectivity, or a telecommunication company analyzing a market, location matters. The LightBox Parcel dataset is a necessary dataset that encompasses a property and defines that property's location. This property container, along with the LightBox ID, allows one to understand the structures within, all the addresses on the property, and an ideal object to relate additional data related to a property. With over a 150 million parcel boundaries that are updated continuously, accessing this dataset through the LightBox Parcel API removes the need to house this large dataset within your datastore and reduce resources needed to handle updates, processing, and normalizing.

With the LightBox Parcel API users will have access to:

  • Parcel Boundary
  • Parcel Centroid Point
  • Situs Address
  • Tax Attributes
  • Owner Names and Address
  • Sales History
  • Landuse and zoning
  • LightBox ID

A Base Layer

The LightBox Parcel boundary data is a critical base layer for our SmartFabric™ dataset. Where a structure boundary provides precise location awareness of a structure and its related addresses, our parcel data provides precise location awareness  of a property and all attributes related to that property.

The LightBox identifier is a permanent and universal identifier for data that creates powerful connections to LightBox’s information model. Our Parcel dataset supports this ID and is available through the parcel API and SmartFabric™ data package. Using the LightBox ID one can walk the full property graph.
