Q: A Vendor accidentally retracted their bid instead of submitting it. How can I address this?
A: Once a Vendor has retracted their bid, there is no direct way to "undo" this action. However, we can take steps to address this situation:
Update the RFP: Navigate to the Service tab and click the "Update RFP" button. This allows you to modify the RFP and re-send it to vendors. IMPORTANT: You must check the Require all vendors included on RFP to submit a new bid? box or the Vendor who retracted their bid will not be able to bid again, even if the RFP is updated.
Extend the bidding window: Go to the Report Status Tab, click on Actions next to the relevant Service, then click View RFP Details. Use the Change Deadline button to extend the bidding period.
Notify the Vendor: After updating the RFP or extending the deadline, inform the Vendor that they can now resubmit their bid.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to retract the entire RFP and start a new one. Remember, these actions should be taken before any award has been made.
